Used Jeeps and Jeep Parts For Sale - 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer "project"

1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
"project"

Black 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer "project". Automatic. 4wd. Original motor pulled, with a 1996 fuel injected inline 6 cyl 4.0L High Output with complete wiring harness and computer, crankcase position sensor (CPS) all still connected, to go into it. Motor has over 100k on it, not sure exactly, but ran perfect. Have motor mounts and frame mounts to install the inline 6. Will bolt up to the original 727 automatic transmission. Also have new valve cover & gasket, plugs, wires, etc for the 6 cyl. and some other misc parts. Brand new steering gear also installed.

Tires are in good shape. Body has minimal rust. Tan interior is in very nice shape. Loaded with power options: brakes, steering, windows, locks, seats, mirrors. Rear defrost. Am/fm/cd/dvd in-dash + have original factory am/fm/cassette. The exhaust appeared new when I bought it and has seen very little time on the road.

A nice classic Jeep that just needs to have an engine installed. Drove great before the original motor developed a major oil leak, which is why I pulled it. I bought the inline 6 cyl for it because I wanted fuel injection and better economy. But the original wiring and everything is there to just put another 360v8 into it if you'd rather go that route. I no longer have the original engine. I can't say for sure if the 4wd works but it is all there and probably works.

Please note that if you want to install the i6 engine, this is a project - very feasible, but not a complete bolt up and turn key solution. Electric cooling fan, fuel pump (fuel injected), custom exhaust connection, wiring connection to the original harness, CPS sensor mounting, etc will need to be done. I have done a lot of research on this stuff and have more info for those seriously interested.
