These early Willys-Kaiser-Jeep Wagoneers were the first luxury 4x4 vehicles introduced in the US, well before the term 'SUV' had been invented. They could be
equipped with A/C, independent front suspension and automatic transmissions, which were uncommon in competitior 4x4's like Land Rover or International.
This Wagoneer is powered by the Tornado 6 cylinder engine, which is notable as being the first US built, mass produced, overhead cam engine available in any vehicle.
Although it was only installed in the Wagoneer from 1963-65. This car also features the 3 speed column shifted manual transmission, 2-speed Spicer T90 transfer case
& Spicer 44 front and rear differentials. It is original in spec as it would have been in 1964.
