Used Jeeps and Jeep Parts For Sale - Nearly rust free Jeep J10

Nearly rust free Jeep J10

I have reluctantly decided to part with my 1984 Jeep J10. This one is special, but I have lost the drive to restore her. I bought this J10 in 2013 from the 2nd owner who only had it about a month, so it was pretty much a one-owner truck when I bought it.

It spent its life in northeast Georgia and must have been stored in a garage or barn nearly the entire time as there is virtually no rust and the original paint is still pretty darn good. The original Jasper Jeep stickers from the selling dealer 30+ years ago are still in place. I have not done much cosmetically as she was in such great, original shape when I found her. I have mainly concentrated on safety and reliability up until this point.

My original goal was to restore this J10 to her original glory and I wanted to have a good, safe, reliable driver while I formulated my plan. She runs great with a new (remanufactured) Motorcraft carb on the 5.9L 360 cu. in. engine. Also has new fuel tank, belts, hoses, plugs, wires, distributor cap, heavy-duty battery, AC hoses, and more. The wheels that were on when purchased were not Original Equipment and did not match the truck. I swapped those for brand new 17" ATX Mojave Teflon coated wheels by American Racing with Nitto Terra Grappler tires. Less than 2,000 miles on those.

The interior is great. Has original Jeep removable bedliner (pretty rare, I think). Added a lockable tool chest that can hold plenty of gear. Pretty much everything just works. Even the glove box light, cargo lamp, high beam indicator, etc. Has factory AC that blows nice and cold. Near zero rust, which makes this extremely rare.

Most J10's were left to rot in the elements and are very hard to find in this condition. This J10 does not need anything major. She leaks a little oil from the engine and rear diff, but does not burn any oil. A few gaskets would probably fix it, but I was planning a rebuild or motor swap, so I didn't want to put any more $$$ into the engine for now. She cranks right up even on the coldest of days. She has never broken down or even stalled since replacing the carb. Would make a great candidate for a full restoration or just a nice project to restore while you drive her around.

Thus is a FIRM cash price and I am not desperate to sell. I'm reluctantly selling and won't mind keeping it. It's been a fun project and I drive her on a near daily basis. Definitely gets a lot of attention. You just don't see J10s in this condition.
