1957 Jeep PickupI purchased this truck a little over a year ago hoping that I would have it fixed up in time to be my first car. I ran into quite a few drivetrain issues that I couldn't afford to fix. I replaced the transmission with a T4 (from a CJ7) and replaced the transfer case with a Dana 300 single stick case (also from a CJ7). The stock bellhousing wouldn't fit because the engine had been upgraded to a Chevy 250 inline 6, so I replaced it with an Advance Adapters bellhousing for the Chevy 250 to T4 transmission and everything links up perfectly except for the pilot bearing which needs a little modification to be able to fit the input shaft from the transmission. I cut the floorboard out since it was rusted beyond repair but that was the only bad rust spot on this entire truck. I resealed the engine from top to bottom and you won't find a single drop of oil under the truck. The truck has a few cracks in the fenders and a pit in the door. I purchased a Painless wiring harness for the truck but have not installed. Interior needs to be refurbished for the most part, but interior does have a really nice bench seat from an old suburban. Needs custom work to link up the clutch pedal and it also needs a brake job. $3000 OBO or trade for Jeep.
