About the motor:
Powered by the 327 cu in (5.4 L) AMC "Vigilante" V8 250 horsepower (gross) at 4,700 rpm and 340 lb-ft of torque at a low 2,600 rpm. The V8 has steel-backed bearings, hydraulic lifters, full pressure lubrication, and overhead valves; it runs on regular gas. The 327, with two barrel carburetor, was sold by Kaiser-Jeep from 1965 to 1967 for use in the Wagoneer and Gladiator pick-up truck.
