Barn Find Gladiator Thriftside

This is a California black plate truck with original "Gold Beige Metallic” paint. I purchased it from the original owner.

It has the factory 327 Vigilante V8, manual transmission, and 4 wheel drive with locking hubs. It has the very rare short bed stepside (Thriftside) option and of course, the desirable "Rhino Chaser” grill and large back window. 7000 lb GVWR. These trucks are nearly impossible to find in this unusual configuration.

The truck has had a lot of mechanical restoration work done (rebuilt engine, brakes, shocks, fuel tank, etc.), but it has been in storage and will need some servicing to get it ready to hit the road. The body is straight and solid overall, although there is some rust in the passenger side A-pillar below the winshield seal, and a couple of minor areas of the floor pan. The rockers and cab corners are solid as a rock. The tailgate has surface rust, but is still very straight and solid. No rust out in the bed floor. No prior accidents or bodywork. There is a fender corner missing on the driver’s side, but I will include a replacement. The interior is pretty much original. Brand new set of Bridgestone Dueler A/T tires.

The truck is suitable for restoration, or just service it and use it as-is. Everyone loves the age-worn and weathered finish. Sold on a bill of sale.
