1973 Jeep Truck J4000
2nd Owner... And The tough work has been done!
With 93k original miles AND a new motor in the last 12 months, this 1973 J4000 with an AMC v8 360 is a fantastic find. The transmission is an Automatic Warner T-98 4 speed with no hesitation. Most engine components have been replaced in the past 12 months including:
* AMC 360 v8
* All Belts/Hoses
* Edelbrock 1412 Carb
* 1" Carb Lift to eliminate hot start issues
* Intake Manifold
* H2O pump
* Fan blade
* Fan Clutch
* All Engine electronics
* Oil Pump/Sensor
* Radiator
* Alternator
* Brand New Battery
* Brake Master Cylinder
* Fuel Lines and filters
(I have a new tranny pan that I have not installed yet...)
Engine compartment has been painted
The two components that have not been modified are the power steering (Original works wonderfully) and heater core - The heater is extremely effective!
The interior has been gutted and cleaned, a few parts have been updated:
* Floor pans are rust free and coated with truck bed coating.
* A carpet kit was purchased 3 years ago and is in excellent condition
* The bench seat was re-apholstered
* CD Player installed
* Painted dash was repainted 3 years ago...
* Top Dash is in excellent condition (cracked only where the in dash speaker holes are)
What I haven't done...
The Body has been well cared for but has minor wear and tear. Bed has light topical rust where paint has been scratched through. Rear fenders also have topical rust that is easily removed with naval jelly and would sand and paint easily. Minor work to be done to bring this rig back to showroom level. Again, the major mechanical work is done and clean! On the interior the door panels are entact but need some time. The knobs and handles are all present and everything works except the fresh air pulls... I just havent looked at them!
Overall this is a fantastic truck that runs perfectly and sounds awesome! The rig would be a perfect simple restoration projector a daily driver AS IS, like it has been for me!
