This jeep was mainly used for camping and had a camper in the bed most of it's life. This means the bed is in good shape but it also sat a lot and so the seals should all be replaced. It runs and drives great with hi and low all wheel drive. The odometer is at 12,000 so I'm assuming 112,000. I purchased the truck in Sante Fe last year from the owner who had it for most of it's life. I had no problem driving it home 54 miles from the sale down the interstate.
There is an electrical short somewhere from the hot wire in the back of the fuse panel to the fuse panel. It will not quit while driving but when you turn the truck off, it may act "dead". This has happened twice and so I keep a wire in the truck and jump from positive battery terminal to the solenoid and it starts right up and runs and drives no problem. Maybe needs new fuse box? Perhaps someone with more electrical jeep experience can find the easy fix.
The truck is mostly rust free because it is a desert truck but does have a rust hole on the drivers side floor by the door and close to the seat. Water has breached the passenger side door and sat under the mat so surface rust is all over the passenger floor but pan is solid.
I bought it because it is all original and runs and drives great. I had plans to take apart, clean, and re-assemble but do not have the time. I would like to see this truck go to a Jeep lover. I paid $5,700. Make me fair offer and save this beauty.
Price: $5,000
