One of only 749 built. 176,750 miles.
I have owned this J20 since the early nineties and it was my daily driver for many years. It was starting to get a bit rough, so I decided to do a RAR (rebuild as required, as opposed to a ground up restoration). New drivers floor pan, left rocker along with new steel fabricated bed panels installed. The front fenders were really hurt, so a new pair of fiberglass fenders were installed. It was then repainted in the original color and a new side molding installed. Rear bumper was sandblasted and painted, since I was unable to find the correct OE bumper cap, I fabricated a simple end piece.
This Jeep is 95 percent original. New, correct size tires (9.50-16.5) with the correct look, are mounted on the 16.5 aluminum aftermarket wheels. The front seat has been re-upholstered, very close to original fabric and design. Bed has been Line-X coated.
The OE 360 cid engine was rebuilt at 158,850 miles with .030 overbore, stock cam, intake and carb. This is essentially a box stock engine, less the air pump. Because this truck is stored so often, (engine rebuild was in May of 1998) I am always replacing something. New starter, alternator, belts, a/c hose, condenser, fuel sending unit, headliner, new carpet, mirrors, side markers, parking lights and side glass wipes.
This truck runs and looks great with all mechanicals working correctly, including heat and A/C, fuel gauge, and 4X4.
This is one of just 749 J20 pickups produced in 1986.
Price: $22,000
