1961 Willys Jeep Truck – ONLY 1,900 original miles!!!
This gem has been garage stored – and not driven -- for the past 12 years and is AMAZING condition. She’s still wearing the same tires that rolled her off the assembly line, has the original owner’s manual in the glove compartment and carries the unmistakable grand old fragrance of a brand new Willys truck.
The Super Hurricane 6-cylinder purrs like a kitty. Because it’s been sitting for so many years the carburetor needs cleaned and tweaked a bit and the brake cylinders need rebuilt, but otherwise she runs like a Swiss watch. Everything -- including the original odometer that reads 1,892 miles -- is in great workable condition.
The original 6-volt system has been converted to 12-volt and it has a brand new battery. Gas tank was recently drained, cleaned and treated with fuel stabilizer. Fresh oil change.
Rust is only minor. No rust down below or on the chasis, but a few very small spots in the bed and elsewhere.
If you’re looking for a bad-ass Willys to restore, but don’t want to spend a lot of time, money and work, this is the truck for you!
I’m asking $8,500 which is a steal, considering the staggering low mileage. However, my mom is currently driving a hunk of junk and needs a reliable vehicle, so I would be willing to trade the Willys for a car or SUV or car/SUV and cash.
