1977 JEEP J10 in Mercer PA (1 hour north of Pittsburgh)

I'll be dead honest about this truck, just please don't beat me up on the price, okay? Any serviceable 4x4 chasis is worth at minimum $1,500. It was restored probably 10-12 years ago but needs done again. It has the inline 6 and it runs strong. 3-speed floor shift, four wheel drive works. It has a custom bed made of heavy steel and the sides and tailgate are 2x4 construction that can be removed to make it a flat bed. The guy probably had $3,000 in the bed alone. Frame is solid. I use it to pull my boat but it's at the point of needing restored again. Currently it needs U-Joints and it sounds like the rear end needs rebuilt, the gas tank straps need replaced, driver's window mechanism needs repaired or replaced. The body is starting to get rough, particularly the back of the cab and cab mounts do need replaced. I'm selling this truck as-is because I will never get the money out of it if I start the repairs. Anyone who knows Jeeps can fix the mechanicals quickly and the body is worth saving but will need some TLC. It has an aftermarket radio/cd player, fog lights and class 3 hitch. Tires are in good shape and it has the original hub caps. I need to get $1,500 as-is. If I end up doing the U-joints and rear end then I'm going to go ahead and paint it and fix the cab mounts and then I'll want more like $3,500 for it or just keep it for my son. Call any time and ask for Ted 724-699-4570.
