78 J10 for sale The black 1978 short box I bought new in '77. It has a 360 v8 rebuilt with TRW pistons / low angle cam / 2 barrel carb. Borgwarner 3 speed manual trans. / manual high-low transfer case. Dana 44 front and rear axles. I have 4 good 31" radial tires on rims stored indoors. Thare is also a brush gaurd and bumper not shown. I borrowed the design for the step side box from the US military. It's made of very heavy steel. Corrugated galvanized floor. The floor is 2" higher and the box is 6" shorter giving it lots of ground clearance. The bumper is 3/16" steel with hitch reciever built in. The roll bars can be removed or one can be set at the back of the truck for carrying loads over top. This is a very cool box and it should last along time. Fleet side fenders could be added if you want the original look. The cab needs work... I'd fix the red jeeps cab and swap it out. It has had no body work ever done to it so you know what you've got to work with(no bondo). This truck is fun to drive, quick and agile as a sports car, and awsome off road! I'll miss it dearly.
